Cookie anyone?

When logging on to our site, you can check a box, telling us you want to save your password. This means that from then on, till the point where you click the Logout button, you will not have to logon again.

Why would I want this?
Simplicity of course. Simply point your mouse at our web site and start typing without having to enter your password every time!

So what's the catch?
If you share your machine with other people or are having a great vacation in the Bahamas and just happened to strawl into an Internet-cafe, you won't want to use cookies to save your password. Before you know it, all sorts of people will start posting using your name.

Okay, that's cool, but I still don't know what a cookie is!
Cookies are small texts that are sent back and forth between your browser and the Internet server. The server can store small pieces of information, like a username, in a cookie. Your browser will then keep telling the server who you are. It's as simple as that.

Cookies in itself are not a privacy problem. However, cookies can be used to combine information on the server with i.e. your browsing habbits. Making it possible to create something like a Big Brother.
